Our Internship Program

The Art of Becoming is a collaborative learning collective seeking to empower those around us through a community model.

Our internship program is committed to developing well-rounded clinicians prepared for compassionate, effective practice. Interns gain hands-on clinical skills, practical administrative abilities, and a strong professional identity rooted in wellness and resilience, all essential for sustainable careers as counselors.

Join Our Relationship-Centered Therapy Program

Experience an internship like no other, where you'll grow as a therapist within a supportive, relationship-centered community. Our program emphasizes learning through real connections and offers hands-on training that nurtures the whole person—mind, body, and heart. Our training is designed within a relationally focused psychodynamic collective that prioritizes your development through an experiential, community-driven learning model.

Individualized and Collective Supervision/Consultation

Supervisees & consultees engage in one-on-one supervision sessions, offering personalized guidance as you deepen your clinical knowledge and skills. Alongside these sessions, you’ll become part of a supportive team model that brings together experienced clinicians, and community members for shared learning and reflection. Specific focus in supervision will be given to counter-transference issues.

Learning Through Community Engagement

Our approach expands beyond traditional supervision, providing you the opportunity to learn alongside diverse practitioners and engage with the community. Through workshops, discussions, group therapy, open house trainings, community service partnerships, and collaborative case studies, you’ll benefit from real-world insights and a holistic approach to understanding and supporting clients on a holistic level.

Holistic Development of the Clinician
We believe great therapists need support for their own well-being too. Here, we focus on your personal and professional growth, helping you build resilience and compassion that lasts. This program is designed to help you thrive in a balanced, heart-centered environment. At The Art of Becoming, we are attending to the heart, soul, mind and body of our team as we seek to be a collective space for healers to heal and grow as we care for ourselves, others and our community.

The Art of Becoming: we believe that all beings have inherent value and the work of restoration is not just to restore the self, but to return to the whole. This happens through dialogue across differences and attending to the parts that connect and unite all beings.
